A few days ago I was watching a show featuring David Attenborough in which he again claimed that humans are apes.

He was sitting with an ape and praising its remarkable abilities using a handsaw. The words coming out of his mouth bore little resemblance to the animal's skills. It was holding the saw in a very primitive way, unable to even get its fingers through the hand grip. It was moving the saw very haphazardly and roughly against a length of wood, in a way that could only result in shredding of the timber.

A human child aged only 2 years could have performed the activity much better than the mature adult ape shown. So I think it is important to always compare what is being said with what is being seen.

"primates" have been used for "research" and exploitation since Australopithecus decided that it might be better for the tribe if it "stuck together" against the 'dangerous', lone, prowling predator.

Andrew Bolt has nothing to worry about, since race, religion, gender, personality, socio-economic divisions and various other forms of diversity are being progressively phased out in favour of a more homogeneous, corporate run society.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I just read the "It's so hip to be black" article.

The offensiveness and lack of logical flow is making my head spin.

Bolt's article consists essentially of a list of people who he claims are not physically black enough to be aboriginal. He also suggests that they have chosen to identify as aboriginal for career opportunities or financial gain (the offensive part).

It reminds me from a quote from the Simpsons "The disadvantaged get all the breaks!"

He also uses the phase “political Aborigine”, as if no proper aborigine would be involved in politics, which of course is the sole province of white Australia (!)

Bizarrely the comments Bolt makes throughout the article contradict the attacks he makes on those people mentioned

Bolt-"I think it sad if we keep harping on about differences and rights based on trivial inflections of race."

-"It’s also divisive, feeding a new movement to stress pointless or even invented racial differences we once swore to overcome. What happened to wanting us all to become colour blind?"

Umm, who was the one that brought this up in the first place?

In the next sentence he writes "the white Aborigine... is not new."

It reads like an article that has had moderate views written buy some-else inserted into it.

How does someone even write an article like that?!
